Proceed straight to your table if you have received your tickets, as there is no need to check in. We have large crowds, and we don't want to start the event late due to long lines. If you have not prepaid, there is a will-call table at the event where you can pick up and pay for your seats.  We use assigned seating.  All tables have a sign with your name and/or your entity's name, how many seats you have at your table, and the table number. Please know that if you order a ticket, we need you to pay for it or we will lose money.

Thanks for buying tickets to our luncheons/dinners. Here are some frequently asked questions and their answers that we hop will make the event more enjoyable.

PARKING: There is free parking underneath the hotel. Enter the underground parking lot from Sage Street. Take a ticket at the entrance gate, enter and park. When you leave, the arm on the exit gate should be up. If it is not, push the button and tell them you are with the Touchdown Club.

DRESS: We ask that all who sit at the head table wear a coat and tie. People in the audience wear business to business-casual.
A lot of our female guests bring a jacket to be comfortable at our events, as the temperature is around 70-72 degrees.

ARRIVAL: Please try to arrive early, as we tend to have large events and we cannot start on time if everyone arrives at the same time.

LOCATION: The hotel is at the corner of Westheimer and Sage in the Galleria.

FOOD: Meals will be served to all who purchase tickets. The caterer also provides gluten-free and other types of meals upon request.

The TD Club of Houston:
• has awarded about $185,000 in scholarships to more than 250 Greater Houston kids in the past 13 years.
• has given out about $180,000 in weights and weight equipment to 36 Greater Houston high schools in the past 11 years for use by boys and girls.
• has distributed excess cleats and tennis shoes from the Houston Texans, many of which were never worn, to needy area schools.
• started the Senior Showcase in 2009 with the Houston Texans and with Houston ISD, in conjunction with Milby coach Phil Camp and Coby Rhoden, in the Methodist Practice Facility at the Texans campus. Approximately 600 high school kids have received more than $60 million in scholarships and grants from NAIA and NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III schools.

Here are some answers to commonly asked questions about our events:
There is free parking behind the Marriott-South near Hobby Airport. Enter from the Gulf Freeway access, or feeder, road. Take the Airport Road exit off of I-45 South. There is work being done on the parking lot in front of the hotel which may or may not be fininshed in time for the event. However, the back of the hotel has ample parking.
DRESS: Dress is business to business casual. If you get cold easily, then be sure to bring a jacket for the event as the room will be about 72-74 degrees. We ask that honorees sit at the head table, and that everyone at the head table wear a coat and tie.
FOOD: Meals will be served to all who purchase tickets. The caterer also provides gluten-free and other types of meals upon request.

SEATING CHART: We have a seating chart you can view at Once on the home page, click on the left side where it says “seating chart.” Proceed straight to your table if you already have tickets. There is no need to check in as this slows down the process.

TOUCHDOWN CLUB OF HOUSTON: We are the Houston chapter of the National Football Foundation. The NFF – among other things – runs the College Football Hall of Fame and gives scholarships to undergraduates and graduates in colleges. We are non-denominational, in that we don’t solely support one team. Our purpose is to assist kids in Greater Houston. Please check our website for updates to our future events. We have put almost $195,000 worth of weights and weight equipment into 39 Greater Houston high schools in 14 years.

We have awarded about $190,000 in scholarships in the past 16 years to approximately 250 kids from Greater Houston.

We have teamed up with the Houston Texans’ Sean Washington, the director of player development, to distribute excess cleats and tennis shoes to needy area high schools.

We teamed up with event founders Phil Camp and counselor Coby Rhoden, as well as HISD and the Houston Texans, for a Senior Showcase college tryout at the Texans’ Methodist Practice Facility. More than 800 kids have landed about $80 million in NAIA, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III scholastic aid in the first eight years of the highly successful event.
